Note: All seminars begin with registration at 8:30 AM and end at 5:00 PM Surgery of the Intestine - This presentation will cover aspects of intestinal surgery in a practical manner. It will discuss the concepts of intestinal anastomosis, intussusceptions, foreign body removals, cecal inversion repair, segmental colectomy in cats and more. It will outline the reasons for dehiscence’s and other failures, and how they can be treated and avoided.Surgery of the Upper Respiratory System - This is a practical review of many upper respiratory problems confronting the Small animal practitioner. It will include a discussion of upper airway distress syndrome in brachycephalic dogs. Neurology and Prognosis of Disc Disease - This presentation is planned for the practicing veterinarian. It will discuss the mechanism of the disease process and leave a clear understanding of how an accurate prognosis of the paralyzed dog can be made. This seminar will also discuss prophylactic disc fenestration to prevent the painful and/or paretic dog from becoming completely paralyzed. New Product Review - This presentation will cover new products, their advantages and disadvantages and where they can be obtained as well as how they are best used.
